Mobile Beer Garden in Raleigh, NC

Wanderbox Raleigh

Last month, I visited my home state of North Carolina. It had been a while since I’d visited the state capital, Raleigh, so my brother and a few of my childhood friends decided to show me around. One of the best places they took me was the Wander Box: a mobile, solar-powered, 12-tap beer garden made from a shipping container.

Me and some old friends, plus my brother and his girlfriend.

When I was there, the Wander Box was outside the Museum for Contemporary Art and Design. On the gravel lot where the bar was placed, long wooden tables were set up on which was written “MAKE ROOM FOR NEW FRIENDS.”

We have plenty of awesome things in New York, but I don’t think we have a mobile beer garden here! Raleigh is a pretty cool place. I almost want to move back there one day. (Almost.)
